Last night in New Orleans, Will Ferrell was ejected from the Pelicans vs Lakers game for throwing a ball at a cheerleader’s head. Well, not really. As it turns out, he was actually filming scenes for his upcoming movie, “Daddy’s Home.” He was called on to the court to attempt a half-court shot, but threw a ball at a cheerleader’s face, leading for security to “eject” him from the game. Here is the video showing him throw the ball around the 1:30 mark.

The film does not yet have a release date and will also star Mark Wahlberg, who he also starred with in “The Other Guys.” Pelicans fans were treated to quite a scene on Wednesday night. They were notified of the shoot however, so no one thought Ferrell had really lost his mind.
