The World’s Loudest Month festival series kicks off its 2018 run in Jacksonville with the eighth annual Monster Energy Welcome To Rockville festival. April 27 through 29 will bring some of the biggest names in rock and some of the most enthusiastic rock fans to Jacksonville’s Metropolitan Park.

Last year’s lineup brought powerhouses such as Def Leppard, A Perfect Circle, the Offspring and Soundgarden. Although that lineup seems pretty hard to beat, the festival has been raised to the next level, yet again, for 2018.

Not only has the festival grown to three days, but the lineup also features Foo Fighters, Ozzy Osbourne, Stone Temple Pilots, Queens of the Stone Age and Billy Idol. Rockville will also offer attendees car and RV camping spots for the first time.

It is easy to see why Rockville’s creator is so proud of what he has set up for 2018. “Since Welcome To Rockville’s inception 7 years ago, I have been building towards this day — to bring not just the biggest rock festival in Jacksonville (or even Florida), but the biggest rock lineup in the U.S. to my hometown,” said festival creator and producer Danny Wimmer of Danny Wimmer Presents. “This is a triumph for me, my company and the city that I love.”

Rockville always offers a large variety of food and beverage vendors that cater to all different diets and preferences. Indochine (voted Jacksonville’s “Best Thai”), Mojo’s BBQ, and TacoLu are included in 2018’s food lineup.
