Rania Woodard’s flavor of pop is sometimes brooding, consistently compelling. The Jax-based artist’s stirring vocals add a contemplative element to the electronic singer-songwriter’s body of work, which has been expanding since she first burst onto the scene with the release of the 2016 single “Still”under the moniker Lannds.
A singular composer emerging among crop of Bedroom Pop artists—the best of whom include Lannds, Yuno and Countach, artists who’ve emerged from domiciles in and around Northeast Florida—Lannds’s profile is most certainly on the rise. Aside from playing a SXSW showcase last year, the twenty-something artist joined song of the summer composer and fellow rising, local electronic BR Pop composer Yuno for his first headlining show.
A couple of months back Woodard—along with keyboardist John Shannon—dropped by the Void office for a stripped down set of tunes from the Lannds catalogue.
