Last Friday we launched our Viva La Void fundraiser, a not not desperate plea to our readers. See, we make a FREE magazine. Actually we’ve made 115 of them over the course of 10 years. And the mags are free because Northeast Florida businesses support our mission via advertisements. With those businesses forced to close their doors in early March, our ability to make a free mag disappeared overnight.

So we asked you, dear readers, to step in and make sure we can continue filling the void, covering the best of Northeast Florida and providing essential arts and culture coverage, profiles of people of interest, cool photos,  surf and skate stories and much more. Less than four days in and we’re nearly halfway there.

Our goal is $30,000, which will be used to cover a baseline portion of our production costs associated with creating, printing, and distributing July’s print issue. In return, contributors to our fundraiser can avail themselves of some seriously cool Void merch and swag–vinyl records, tees, stickers, even surfboards.

If you haven’t yet chipped in, we hope you’ll consider doing so by clicking here and BACKING the Viva La Void Campaign. Together we can ensure that COVID 19 doesn’t kill local print.
