It has been a whirlwind season, no pun intended! We had 16 named storms, and they only predicted, maybe, 13, at best… We had the good, the bad, and the ugly! Yet, we came outta the fight with a few scars, and some fun surf along the way! It started out hot, and lulled for a bit into the dog days of summer, then fired up to no end the last couple of months into the prime time, and it has seemed like a continual Nor’easter for the last month with a little taste of south swell here and there, which actually fits our window better than long line closeouts! As Hurricane Season 2017 comes to an official close, there’s always the chance of it being extended, and it’s never over until it’s over! Phillipe came by for a cup of coffee as predicted, but cruised on very quickly. Lots of activity in the water is always a good thing, Guess what? We have yet another little nor’easter setting up for us again after this incoming front passes! There’s a little system out in the ocean but nothing to write home about, the season has now shifted, and it’s time to get into your favorite surf shop to stock up on new rubber for the fall and winter! Speaking of surf shops, a BIG CONGRATS goes out to SUNRISE SURFSHOP for their 5th, yes 5th National Championship!!! That is big time against big competition from the west coast! Small surf to start the week then building surf towards the weekend! Gotta love the fall surf in NEFL! GO JAGS!
