*TROPICAL STORM ARTHUR*This is Rory Gregg with your Northeast Florida Surf Forecast*

Say hello to our new little friend! Tropical Storm Arthur has formed off of South Florida and will continue on a northward track over the next few days. We should see slowly building surf throughout the week! Looks like the 20% chance of formation projected over last weekend was all we needed to finally have some good waves coming our way! Arthur will be directly off of our coast on Thursday as it will get swooped up the Gulf Stream from a dip in the jet stream at present, and he should hold sustained  winds at 70-80 mph. The storm looks to comb the East Coast all the way to Nova Scotia on Sunday making slight landfall numerous times. It might rain on some peoples 4th of July parades, but we’ll give up firecrackers for firing surf any day with the drought we’ve had lately. If you have some extra time to chase a storm this holiday weekend, this might be just the one to do that!
