Back in March, as businesses, bars and restaurants, live music venues, etc. were shuttering in the face of the global coronavirus outbreak, we weren’t quite sure what the future of arts and culture in Northeast Florida looked like. We’d heard from dozens of artists about months of concerts and tours, gallery shows and exhibitions all put on hold, or cancelled out right.

With the help of the Cultural Council of Greater Jacksonville and Strata MFG. we were able to raise more than $3K for THE FUND FOR ARTS AND CULTURE, which gave direct financial assistance to 20 Duval County-based artists of all disciplines whose livelihoods in the arts have been negatively impacted by the crisis.

In May we launched our web store and directed $5 from each purchase to the FUND FOR ARTS AND CULTURE.  We’re happy to announce that through your purchases we were able to add another $500 to help our local arts community, which–despite the reopening of many local businesses–is still reeling from the fallout of the COVID-19 shutdown.

You can still donate directly to the FUND by clicking here.
