The last three hurricane seasons have produced amazing surf and unmatched devastation. It’s November, though. And time for those eyeing surfable swell to move on. So, as we put a wrap on the 2018 Atlantic hurricane season and turn our eyes away from Africa to start looking north… wait, not so fast! After a fun run of surf from passing northern fronts, we have a late season creeper storm 96L slowly making its way through the Atlantic, one that does indeed look promising, especially in the next 3-5 days. In addition, we will have a mix of swell from two fronts moving in from the north.

We should see building mix windswell/groundswell over the next few days with some shifting favorable winds ahead, then a rebound swell coming in later in the week. We’ll keep our eyes on the flags and the radars to see 96L develops over the next few days. But, in the meantime you to upgrade the wetty for the season ahead. Go ahead and wax them boards, though.
