This year’s Roscolusa Songwriters’ Festival hosted six of Nashville’s hit songwriters and was hosted by Ponte Vedra’s own Kim Paige. The Roscolusa lineup featured Phil Barton, Rick Ferrell, Kim Paige, Bruce Wallace, Jesse Rice, songwriting-duo Cassio Monroe and local songwriter Kay Gianna, who opened the show.

While their songs might be well-known, the writers themselves are not, but this group of writers have produced several No. 1 hits on Country Radio. In fact, Rick Ferrell’s song, “Somethin’ Like That,” recorded by Tim McGraw, not only reached the title of No. 1, but was the most-played song of the decade from 2000 to 2010. Writer Jesse Rice co-wrote “Cruise” with the Brian Kelly and Tyler Hubbard of Florida-Georgia Line, which is well on pace to become the most-played song of this decade.

The festival is designed to bring a “Nashville” style songwriters’ round to North Florida’s beaches and to shine a light on the writers that produce hit songs. It was a chance for music fans of all ages to see the way the business works and to hear the songs straight from the writers themselves.

Now in its fifth year, Roscolusa continues to grow, attracting top hit songwriters and top-notch crowds.

“This was by far our best year yet! Can’t wait to continue growing Roscolusa and raising money for the Tom Coughlin Jay Fund. Thanks to all the amazing attending “Roscolusians,” every year is bigger and better and we are able to grow our donation to the TCJayFund. We learn so much from every event on ways we can improve the following year. Looking forward to Roscolusa 2017! We already have some great ideas up our sleeves.” — Kim Paige Roscolusa Founder
