The band Rising Appalachia is playing at the St. Augustine Amphitheater March 29 at 8 p.m. as part of their Spring Resiliency Tour.

Recently, the duo released the music video for their song Rivermouth (shown below). The video was released on World Water Day in partnership with the Waterkeeper Alliance. The band and the alliance have a strong passion for clean water and the environment.

“Rivermouth is a love song … Both human and elemental,” lead singer Leah Song said. “The depths of the human heart and the force of a river are both wild and unchartered at their core, best left alone to swell and stretch and change with the seasons. We have been aligned with the Mississippi River, Gulf and Kalamath water protectors and recently branched out to forma alliances with Waterkeepers around the world, working toward drinkable, fishable, swimmable water everywhere.”

Song said their tour has a special meaning for the band this time.

“We want our Spring Resiliency Tour to provide a soundscape for this exact moment in history,” she said. “To make space for gathering in community. To encourage speaking up, singing out and keeping our focus on local solutions.”
