When I found out this supergroup was coming to the 904, I flipped my s*** to say the least. Comprised of members from Rage Against the Machine, Public Enemy and Cypress Hill, this lineup is perhaps the best supergroup to form in recent memory, especially considering the reason for their formation — the s*** show that is election season 2016.

When asked about why they formed Prophets of Rage, guitarist Tom Morello (of Rage Against The Machine) told Rolling Stone, “We’re an elite task force of revolutionary musicians determined to confront this mountain of election year bulls***, and confront it head-on with Marshall stacks blazing.”

Currently touring on their Make America Rage Again Tour, Prophets Of Rage combines the “sonic firepower” of Rage Against The Machine, Public Enemy and Cypress Hill, with the full lineup of Tom Morello, Tim Commerford, Brad Wilk, Chuck D, B-Real and DJ Lord.

“We can no longer stand on the sidelines of history. Dangerous times demand dangerous songs. It’s time to take the power back.”

You can expect this concert to be chock-full of political outcries … so I’d probably leave your “Make America Great Again” hat at home. Doors open around 7 p.m. and the tickets will run you anywhere from around $20 to $60. Did we mention that Awolnation will also be opening for them? Don’t be an idiot and miss out on this one! Check out the group’s first EP released on Spotify and a number of other services. If I had to guess, they’ll most likely be playing these songs and a few of each members’ original groups’ covers.
