Just in: The tropics are officially hot!
That’s no exclusive. But how about this: We’re oh so close to sounding the alarm on a potential SURF ALERT for this weekend’s Void Pro/Am surfing event!
A solid SE/ESE wind swell has the potential to make this weekend pretty darn contestable. Please stay tuned as the tropical low to over the Bahamas (now 98L) has now been upgraded to a 30% chance of development. A named-storm, in this scenario, is not out of the question.
Of course, there are many factors in play so STAY TUNED!
Bottom line: We’ll have contestable–and perhaps very good–waves this weekend.
REMINDER: Contest entries end tomorrow morning at 10 AM SHARP! So don’t slack! All signups are ONLINE-ONLY this year. Pro Division is still wide-open.
Below is some insider info from local surf forecaster Chickie Domain from DaBuh.com. Thanks for keeping us up to date Chickie!
