Many of you may remember a post on our site, just over a year ago, announcing that Surf Concepts had inked a deal with Source Interlink’s Surfing Magazine. What you might not remember is how that post ended. Allow me to refresh your memory.
“Surf Concepts hopes to have the first Surfer Magazine, The Bar open within a year and a half with the new location likely in North Florida.”
Now, the concept is coming to life, and it needs your support. A petition site, ending on September 15, has been formed to gain attention for the modern, beach-side bar. By simply entering your name, city and email address, you can play a pivotal role in making certain that Jacksonville Beach continues to develop both socially and economically.
The proposed site is situated across from the pier’s parking lot, at the location currently occupied by Mango’s Beach Bar and Grille. Did we mention that Surfer, The Bar will have unobstructed views of the ocean, as well as permanent food truck, from open ’til close? Count us in.
Note: Surfer, The Bar has another location on the North Shore of Hawaii. That location hosts live surf webcasts, a talks series with surf legends, live music, and much more rad media — something to definitely consider when signing this petition.
