The fifth annual Never Quit Beach Fest takes place Sunday, May 19 in Jacksonville Beach, and the festivities are already underway.
Packet pickup began Friday at 10 am and will continue through 7pm. Your last chance to pick up t-shirts, timing chips and race bibs before race day will be Saturday from 10 to 7.
As part of the event, the Expo is set up on the green at Seawalk Pavilion, with booths by Natural Life, Title Boxing Club, Tropical Smoothie and many other local businesses.
Bethany Hamilton, professional surfer and shark attack survivor, will be introducing the film “Soul Surfer” at 8pm on Friday and Saturday nights. This event is open to pre-registered race participants; you’ll need to show your wristband to get into the viewing area.
Sunday morning is the main event, with the first 5K at 8am and the second at 10am. The Trident, Warrior Challenge and kids fun run and surfing lessons follow. Finally, the after party kicks off after 2pm at Salt Life Food Shack.
