Northeast Florida’s coolest and ever-growing DIY music fest is returning to Historic 5 Points for three days of cool sounds and distinctive programming. This year’s Winterland, which takes place February 7, 8, and 9 across ultra-cool Park St. venues Root Down, Rain Dogs, Alewife, and Hoptinger, features more than 40 artists, a fair portion of which hail from parts in and around Northeast Florida.
Very cool! But wait until you peep the headliners.
This time around, the team behind Winterland has teed up some heavy hitters, including New York noise-rockers A Place To Bury Strangers, Portland garage band The Shivas and fellow Stumptown standouts, the cumbia-propelled Sávila, New York via Leeds singer-songwriter Harkin, enigmatic Brooklyn-based artist Lady Lamb, and Florida faves Surfer Blood. Read from the top, it’s a lineup that would stop the press virtually anywhere in in America. Add in the three dozen or so local acts set to play over the course of three days in the heart of Jacksonville’s cultural epicenter–including Cherry Springer, Darkhorse Saloon, Bebe Deluxe, Yellow Steve, Faze Wave, Animal Clinic, Mr. Al Pete, and more–well, Winterland III may be the coolest thing happening all year in Northeast Florida (and it’ll only be February!).
“Where do I get tickets,” you ask? Why, CLICK HERE. Single day passes start at $30, while $60 gets you admission to every. single. damn. show… from Friday to Sunday!
More announcements are coming. But don’t sleep on these tix.
