After a wildly successful inaugural festival in 2018, the garage-rock-leaning Winterland is back for more; this year with a more eclectic, but equally remarkable lineup of touring and local bands. Once again, Glenn Van Dyke (Boytoy, Winterland Promotions) has dug into her rolodex and enticed some renowned national acts to fill the two-night bill, including Friday night headliners, Brooklyn’s Max Pain and the Groovies and Saturday night co-headliners, Nashville’s Faux Ferocious and Seattle’s Thunderpussy.

Rounding out the bill, Winterland will feature a diverse contingent of North Florida acts, including St. Augustine’s The Young Step, Jax-based Hip hop collective L.O.V.E (Culture), DJ/Rapper Geexella, and riff-heavy rock quartet 9E.

And yesterday, Van Dyke and her team finally let slip the location (or to be more specific: locations) of this year’s festivities, announcing that Five Points venues Root Down and Rain Dogs will co-host the event on Feb. 8 and 9.
