Google is planning to offer a cellular network soon, and is currently working with unnamed network operators in order to make this happen. This comes after releasing their line of “Nexus” smartphones. If you ask Google about this however, they’ll tell you it’s still just an “experiment.”

“You will see us announce it in the coming months,”  said Vice President Sundar Pichai at the Mobile World Congress wireless show in Barcelona. “We want to be able to experiment along those lines.”

He also said that Google is working on an “Android pay” system, similar to “Apple pay.” Google claims it is not a threat to other telephone providers and it is simply a project that they are working on.

Would you consider dropping your current cell provider and making the switch to Google?
