We asked Jaguars reporter Ashlyn Sullivan–who is not only an expert in X’s and O’s, but also on which players have been practicing their guitar solos–to hit us with the top storylines on and off the field this season.

Can Leonard Fournette return to his 2017 form?

Rushing for over 1,000 yards in 2017 was a phenomenal accomplishment. It’s hard to ask a running back to reach that milestone each season but Leonard Fournette has the talent to do it. The biggest question is can he stay on the field. Fournette wasn’t available for most of last year due to a nagging hamstring injury.

This offseason, he trained in Wyoming with his former LSU strength coach, working to get back in peak shape. Coaches and family members of Fournette told me they have never seen Leonard in such great shape. Now the question is: Will that translate to a healthy season?

Where will Chris Conley go on his next surf trip?

Since landing in Jacksonville during free agency, Chris Conley has taken up surfing. What started out as a few lessons has turned into one of his favorite hobbies. He has recruited wide receiver Dede Westbrook and tight end Geoff Swaim to join in on the fun. For now, it seems like he is still getting the hang of surfing on his new custom-made Georgia Bulldogs surfboard [shaped by Mike Whisnant] before traveling the world for a session. But who knows where he could pop up surfing in the offseason?

Will Nick Foles live up to the hype?

Nick Foles is now the most popular guy in Jacksonville. Everyone wants to know if the new quarterback will lead the Jaguars to the Super Bowl. Foles has made throws during practice that make us all go “Wow!” Now we need to see if he can do the same in game action. All signs are pointing toward Foles uplifting this offense from last season’s disappointing production.

When will Josh Lambo drop a solo album?

Jaguars kicker Josh Lambo is a man of many talents. One of those talents in playing the ukulele and the guitar. Lambo has been performing throughout the summer at Surfer The Bar and even brought his ukulele with him when he reported for training camp. Is an album in the works?

Will the Jaguars return to the number one defense in the league?

In 2017, the Jaguars led the league as the most dominant defense. Last season, due to an inefficient offense, they were on the field way too often to be successful. The defense has the talent and depth to wreak havoc on opposing offenses, especially since they added another weapon on the defensive line with first round draft pick Josh Allen. Opposing offenses are going to have a problem containing the trio of Calais Campbell, Yannick Ngakoue, and Josh Allen this season.

When will Nick Foles give us his lululemon Ambassador discount?

Before the Jaguars signed Nick Foles, he signed a deal to be a lululemon Elite Ambassador. He is the company’s first mainstream athlete endorser, and everyone at TIAA Bank is hoping he will hook them up with a discount. Sadly, those don’t seem to exist, but a girl can dream.

Do you want to be a Jaguars fan this season?

There is a lot to be excited about going into this season. A new quarterback with new weapons, including free agent wide receiver Chris Conley. The defense looks like they’re back to their peak form with the talent at defensive line and cornerback. The Jaguars have the talent and discipline to make it far; as long as they can stay healthy this season.
