Obi Umunna, a local attorney and entrepreneur, continually asks Northeast Florida a pretty important question on his popular, politics-heavy podcast. Why You Should Care? examines Jacksonville’s multi-layered political scene and breaks it down, examining how issues affect residents directly.

Recently featured on a PBS documentary about voter apathy, Umunna–who is also both an NPR and Florida Times-Union commentator–fights to bring current political issues to the forefront of Jacksonville’s discourse. Why You Care Should Care? Podcast is geared toward those that don’t regularly follow local current events and politics, informing and helping listeners not only care but also feel that their voice matters.
