We hate to brag; but we will. Beginning in May Void started inviting a slew of killer local and touring artists to perform intimate and one-of-a-kind sets here in our office. The cat is out of the bag, so to speak, on this one, as in September we released the first video of these performances, a three-song, 15-minute set and and interview featuring mighty Afro-Cuban Salsa band LPT filling every bit of our our open-office layout with its infectious rhythms.
In the queue we’ve got performances from locals Lannds, Darkhorse Saloon, L.O.V.E. (Culture), Geexella, Dead Bugs, Tansit, Faze Wave, Mercy Mercy, and 9E—all of whom graced the Void stage (well, floor)—along with out-of-towners Champagne Superchillin and Swimm. For each and every music shebang, Glenn Van Dyke of Boytoy/Winterland Presents has been running sound and talented surf cinematographer John Massey filmed and edited the shows.
