Boston Dynamics, a company owned by Google that builds advanced robots, have successfully designed and tested a 160-pound, electric, four-legged robot that resembles a giant dog. It has the ability to run or trot and climb up hills and stairs. Sensors help it navigate rough terrain and this is just one of the robots the company has made.
They have nine different robots on their website, all with advanced abilities to help humans or go to unsuitable terrain. The robot dog is even aggressively kicked by a Boston Dynamic team member, to show how versatile and stable it is.
We just hope it doesn’t remember that little kick when robots ultimately take over and rule the world (sorry we kicked you robodog … we surrender).
