Happy Thanksgiving! We’re finally steering away from the tropical season after our short-lived, late season, last gas swell last week. Now we’re looking ahead (not too far, though) to our first double-barreled winter systems moving over our region and to the north over the next few days. Just like our historic Halloween swells, we also have had some classic Thanksgiving swells. Thusly, on Black Friday and into the weekend you may want to skip the shopping until after the sessions. Starting today we’ll see building windswell/groundswell mix from the northeast. The winds look to lay down nicely into Saturday afternoon and it looks like we could see epic-ish conditions. Head high to overhead conditions for Friday and fades off a little in the waist to chest plus range for Saturday but with soft winds.
The swell fades into Monday, just in time to get back to the grind. Enjoy your holiday weekend and after you stuff your face with turkey wax ’em up and get on it. Reminder: water temps are dropping so never a better time then now to jump on a good deal on some new rubber for the winter season.
