I’ve done my research (Internet research) and found a lot of fiction, but also, some pretty damn interesting facts. Here are some little tidbits to hit your friends with … not literally.

Scary

“What if a mouse goes outside, does it become a rat, and if a rat is in the house, is it a mouse?”

1. The directors of “Despicable Me” actually created their own language for the minions and called it minionise.

A little ridiculous, of course, but also kind of amazing and makes the minions a tad less annoying. Sorry Minion lovers, but they’re overdone.

2. A strawberry is not a berry.

But … are you sure?

3. A banana is a berry.

This is just ridiculous

4. Graham crackers and Kellog’s corn flakes were invented as a way to stop masturbation.

A cruel and unusual world we live in.

5. Movie trailers used to play at the end of a film, hence, trailer.

Well, that makes a lot of sense. Probably a good thing they come first now because being 10 minutes late to a movie is too easy.

6. Three books in the Harvard library were bound in human flesh.

Just a little disturbing …

7. The smell of freshly cut grass is actually the grass giving off a distress call.

Nothing like the smell of freshly murdered grass in the morning. Just kidding, that’s actually really sad and ruins a good smell for me.

dating-facts

8. Betty white is literally older than sliced bread.

Literally.

9. When you snap your fingers the sound comes from your middle finger hitting your palm, not your thumb or index finger.

I’m not sure if I didn’t know this but I am sure that I snapped my fingers to know for sure.

10. Cotton candy was invented by a dentist, William Morrison.

William Morrison, you sly bastard.

11. The electric chair was also invented by a dentist, Alfred P Southwick.

Now you know what your dentist is really thinking about when you’re sitting in that chair. As if you weren’t already terrified.

12. Sloths have very bad eyesight and sometimes they grab their own arm, thinking it’s a branch, and fall to their death!

Okay, that’s actually fiction but it’s also pretty hilarious to think about.
