The NFL has been dealing with concussion controversies for some time now. A lawsuit by former players, players retiring early and worst of all, a growing number of ex-players committing suicide because of brain damage.

They don’t exactly have the best record of handling things very well these days (an understatement, to say the least), and even at first, hesitated to let the late Junior Seau’s daughter speak at his Hall of Fame induction … probably in fear that she would speak about his concussion problems and CTE. She did end up speaking however.

Now comes a movie, simply titled “Concussion,” with a star-heavy cast. Will Smith, Alec Baldwin, David Morse and Luke Wilson will be in the film based off this 2009 GQ article. Here is the trailer.

It’ll be interesting to see the reaction of the NFL and commissioner Roger Goodell. Needless to say, the film doesn’t seem to portray them in a kind manner.
