It’s flat … and it hasn’t been this flat in awhile. We did have one little reprieve of small surf this past week, but there isn’t a drop of swell in the water. It has been a good run for most of the winter, but with all of the killer weather we’ve had, we can give the surf gods a few sacrificial flat spells. We do have a little hop on the horizon this coming week as the next front that’s currently in a weird spot in our swell window will push out over the Mid-Atlantic region by late Tuesday. We should see a little northern bump to ride on Wednesday! After a one-hit-wonder pop there, it’ll be smaller range leftovers until we see a little background swell on Friday.

The west coast of the U.S. is getting rocked by winter storms, so if you are planning that spring boarding or surfing trip you could score big! Front after front has been thumping New England, they can keep it, but these winter swells have been just out of our range. The Gulf Coast has seen some fun surf this week from all the offshore flow, and the Caribbean has been firing all winter for those of you that have scored down there! It’s going to warm up quickly this spring, so hang tight as it always tends to bring us some good waves year in and year out.
