What a crazy run of waves we’ve had recently! Some days this past week were firing at the right spots! As Maria and Lee fade off into the Atlantic we’ve now had this wacky sub-tropical 99L storm flare up over Florida the last few days and with a large high pressure system to the north it may blow back over into the Gulf later this coming week! Big chunky surf expected with some honking winds most of the week! We have the spot to surf during these conditions, but if you aren’t experienced in victory at sea sessions now is not the time to test the waters until it simmers down towards next weekend. October is here, and we officially have one month until Hurricane Season 2017 is in the books. It’s also a great time to start thinking about those extra layers for fall and winter as the local surf shops are getting shipments in weekly of tops, springs, and suits! Solid head high to overhead conditions all week with some gnarly winds on it, but it definitely isn’t going flat any time soon! Things could change over the next few days so we’ll keep our eyes on the flags! A couple of notable tropical waves are flaring out there but no signs of further development yet..
