Here we go! September 1st is here, and it’s prime time for Hurricane Season 2018! Just in time, we welcome Tropical Storm Florence! We still have a tropical wave hanging out in the Caribbean that could develop further once it reaches West Florida, and into the Gulf could brew towards Texas and Louisiana. Then we’ll keep a close eye on Florence who looks to develop further in the open Atlantic mid next week or sooner! Most models are showing movement more east of Bermuda but might see some nice swell coming our way! Fun times ahead, and we’ll keep our eyes on the radars for further development. For this weekend we should have a little bump in surf late Saturday, but looks to fade away into Sunday. More small scale windswell will start to build on Monday through the week, but that will all change once we see more activity from Florence! Have a great Labor Day Weekend, be safe, get some waves, and enjoy some RnR! Be sure to get out there to your favorite local surf shops to score some great deals and sales going on!
