Welcome to the hear of Hurricane Season 2017! We are now coming into the pinnacle of the Cape Verde months and we have a nor’easter?!? Well, It has been a nice reprieve from the 100 + heat indexes we had recently, and maybe it’s a warm up for the late fall and winter! At least it’s not FLAT! As predicted we’ve had a nice little run of some chunker waves for the last few days, nothing huge, but some good sections at the right spots and tides for some fun ripable waves! As our lil’ nor’easter fades into tomorrow, we’ll be back into a Gulf flow but their should be some leftovers into the week. Looking ahead into the weekend we may see a little onshore bump up which is what we’re looking for when things are starting to heat up in the Atlantic! Hold the phones over the weekend, a sudden burst of tropical punch formed from some converging fronts being driven down by this northeast flow, TS Emily popped up for a cup of coffee in the Gulf and has mowed out across the central region of the state. She only had a moment to be named, and could stir up some more surf on her way out. Another tail end of this tropical waves could see some potential but still early to tell. Another system showing some promise off the coast of Africa also! It’s heating up folks, stay tuned for further updates! Back to school is in full effect for you groms, and the sales at your local surf shops will be hot! Get in while the gettin is good for the best deals on some new threads and kicks for the school year!
