Finally back in action after almost a week of power and interwebz loss … In the aftermath of Irma, we took another whip, not quite like Matthew, but from the backside! Many pockets of Jville got the beat down, with a full moon, nor’easter, storm surge combined, many areas experienced record flooding, outages and displacement. But the 904 is strong, and we are all coming back on the grid slowly but surely. During the after effects of Irma we had some solid epic surf, which is always the silver lining! The boys and girls were charging some sizable waves, and we’ve had solid swell in the water all week! Why? Because Jose and his friends have joined the party! Jose is blazin’ a path up off the coast of Hatteras, and with the East Coast Championships coming up, it could be good times for our 904 locals holding it down for us there!

Maria is charting a similar path as Irma at this point, with a little less head of steam, but looking at this point to steer off in the Atlantic. She’s also invited her little brother Lee to the fiesta, but he needs to grow up a bit! What we can expect this week is a sort of double barreled nor’easter mix groundswell/windswell! It may get flat for a day or so, but it’s about to be on again in a few days! Let’s keep our eyes on the flags, and we’ll be in for an update in a couple days as thing develops! Hopefully this time, it’ll be further offshore …
