HAPPY 4TH OF JULY! Here are some Independence Day festivities happening around the area :

– The Forth of July Celebration presented by the City of Jacksonville will be from 4-10p.m. at The Jacksonville Landing. Celebrate Independence day with live entertainment, interactive activities, food and beverages, and a spectacular firework display. Fireworks will begin at 9:45p.m. over the St. Johns River!

Here are some things you should know if you’re traveling Downtown:

City lots and garages will be open from 5 – 10 p.m. Vehicles will be able to exit after 10 p.m. Prices vary from $5 – $10 per vehicle.

– Main St. Bridge and Acosta Bridge will be closed during the fireworks show and will reopen immediately following the show.
Bridges will remain closed to all vehicular and pedestrian traffic from the start of the fireworks show until it is clear.

Jacksonville Beaches Starts & Stripes at the Sea Walk Pavilion

The fireworks have returned to the beaches! Head down to the Sea Walk Pavilion from 9a.m.-10p.m. for the Stars & Stripes at the Sea Walk presented by Sight & Sound Productions! There will be Food Trucks, a Kids Zone, and live music from Flagship Romance, country music artist Craig Campbell, the Navy Band Southeast Wind Ensemble, and the Navy Rock Band. Here are some things you should know if you’re traveling to the beaches:

Restrictions:

No outside food or drink
No personal fireworks
No animals except service animals
No coolers, bags, or backpacks (all subject to search)
No bikes, skateboards, or skates

– The City of Jacksonville and Keep Jacksonville Beautiful will partner with the Beaches Sea Turtle Patrol for the annual July 5th Beaches Cleanup following the Independence Day holiday. From 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. help keep our beaches beautiful! Check out these various locations where bags and gloves will be distributed to volunteers:
Atlantic Boulevard at the ocean.
Beach Boulevard at the ocean.
16th Avenue South in Jacksonville Beach at the ocean.

The Jacksonville Landing Market will be from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Enjoy beautiful displays of art, jewelry, unique gifts and more.

Saturday, July 6 –

– The River Ruckus at RAM will begin at 10a.m., and will showcase the recreational benefits provided by the river and the importance of respecting, protecting and enjoying this tremendous natural resource. The day’s events include a flotilla of watercraft on the river, celebrity jump into the St. Johns, live local music, SweetWater Brewing Co. beer tastings, river crafts for kids, plus all the great art, crafts, produce, and food vendors that the Riverside Arts Market offers each Saturday under the Fuller Warren bridge.
