After everyone had a great turkey holiday and between all of the Black Friday, Small Biz Saturday and Cyber Monday shopping, we hope you got out there and got into some waves because it has been a fun run! More waves coming you say? Why, yes. We hate to sound like a broken record, but this album is playing some good tunes. We have another winter blast about to send some surf our way, and if the trend keeps rolling on, we could be in store for a great cold season of surf.

This massive front that stretches all the way from northern Mexico across the Panhandle and all the way up to the epicenter along the East Coast to New England is going to pack some more punch towards the latter part of the week. Strong winds, bigger surf and better tides are on the way! If you are looking to change your latitude on this swell and have the time to head down past the Cape in 48 to 72 hours you may find some warmer, bigger, surf down there. On the home front it’s time to suit up and charge! The swell will likely hold all the way through next Tuesday.

The results were in, and if you missed the party at Salt Life Food Shack last week, a big congrats goes out to local photographer, ESM senior photographer and JU grad Chris “Dirty” Wilson and surfer Sam Barker for scoring some cold hard cash with the winning shot! Maybe we should have a winter time big wave contest for the future if these swells keep pumping through the season!
