Sorry I’ve been outta touch… Was hiding up in the mountains the last week while we had the biggest winter front kickoff of the New Year! Consider me the sacrificial lamb, just like your best bud going outta town and all of the sudden we get a swell! The last winter swell bomb was crazy and epic, not sending us all of the swell we wanted but, for those that want to bare the elements and rubber up caught some good waves! to the north and the south had pockets of interest, and waaaayyyy up north they had frozen waves! It’s that time of year, where the Mid-Atlantic fronts peel off and become winter hurricanes, predicting these storms is almost more erratic than a tropical swell. On tap right now we have a big high pressure system squeezed between a low front moving across us and coming up next week could be our next major winter event, but we’ll wait and see about that once these lows peels from the Rockies! We should expect a good nor’easter blow over the next few days with waist to chest plus surf, good tides, and fairly favorable conditions! We will have some smaller cleaner days ahead with not too chilly conditions, but the BIG picture of the next few fronts will have to wait and see what they do. Until then, get on it, rubber up, and if you haven’t it’s time to get into your local surf shops before they sell out! Fun surf, with variable wind conditions over the next few days, Jags playoff game on the horizon, get on it and charge!!!
