Happy Hump Daaaaayyyyeee! Looks like we have a little suckup windswell/groundswell starting to form! We aren’t in the full “SWELL ALERT” zone, but the seasonal transition begins with a southernly flow. We have a Bermuda high sitting in the middle of the Atlantic that is churning our southern flow, but it’s also getting a helpful boost of an interesting system flaring up in the Caribbean as we speak. The Midwest is getting pounded with rain and storms, and officially a BIG bulge in the jet stream transitioned in this week, which is setting up for some steamy times ahead! We just need the water temps to start spiking and things will get jump started off Africa! For the rest of the week into Sunday, we can expect waist-to-stomach-high sets with some funky wind conditions here and there, and just coming out of a big moon phase, time your tides just right, and you’ll find some fun sessions! a little lull into Sunday until the next passing front may bring us a little nor’east mixup into next week. Now is the time to hit up your local shapers and surf shops to get the summer boards tuned up! Shop local, but don’t wait too long unless you don’t intend to have your board until August!
