While you may not be seeing runway models trading in the catwalk for an end zone anytime soon, fashion and football have met off the field to commemorate Super Bowl XLVIII being held in New York City.
The NFL has partnered with Bloomingdales and high fashion designers such as Betsey Johnson, Kenneth Cole, Todd Snyder, Billy Reid and Donna Karan to support a good cause. Forty-eight official NFL helmets were distributed to designers who were given the chance to create a unique head piece that is currently being held for an auction online.
The auction will run until the end of the Super Bowl and proceeds will go to the NFL Foundation in support of the health and safety of athletes.
