Super Bowl Weekend is upon us, and although we can only dream of our beloved Jags one day being in the “Big Game,” it’s always a big weekend regardless in a football-frenzied town! After toughing out the flat spell all week, we have some Super Bowl Weekend swell on tap in the form of a little nor’easter that is going to bring us a quick punch of waves into Saturday, with the winds leveling out before game time on Sunday and even a little background swell for most of next week!
It’s not going to get too cold, and our decent winter weather pattern should shift back to Florida-style after tomorrow. There’s a big high pressure system sitting over the Midwest and a long lingering low pressure front stretching all the way from the Gulf up the Eastern Seaboard. If you have the time to head down south, it could be a little bigger — and warmer. Waist-to-chest-plus swell ramping up tomorrow and sloughing off a little into Sunday, but fun surf is on the way!
Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, after the confetti settles on the Super Bowl, now is the time to get out to your local surf shops, restaurants and shops to get that someone special a really cool gift or two. Make sure you tell them Void sent you!
