Weezer performed at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre on Friday, June 6. The sold-out show filled the amphitheatre as the California-based favorites returned to North Florida to deliver another stellar performance. Despite Weezer’s first album (The Blue Album) being 20 years old now, you would never guess it from the performance this group can still deliver.
The opener, a band by the name of “JEFF the Brotherhood,” also performed a decent opening set before Weezer took the stage. The two-piece rock band, based out of Nashville, consists of brothers Jake and Jamin Orrall.
Cuomo and the band brought North Florida one of the funnest, spirited and engaging concerts I’ve seen in a long while. The group interacted with the crowd, throwing beach balls and frisbees, one that drummer, Patrick Wilson, even caught while playing the crowd favorite “Beverly Hills,” embedded below.
