This week, the East Coast’s Michael Ciaramella dropped his latest surf edit titled, “Placid Acid.”
Michael, Mikey for short, is a New Jersey-native who moved out to San Diego, Ca. to go to college at the University of California San Diego. Being in California’s most southern city gave Mikey the unique opportunity to strike down to Baja Mexico to score south swells in the Pacific. A surf trip an hour from your doorstep … must be nice!
This clip features surfing from Southern California, North Baja and Nicaragua, and is one of the more visually pleasing surf edits to drop from an East Coast surfer this spring. Filmed & edited by a man who goes by Juddy, this clip showcases not only the impressive surfing of Ciaramella, but maintains an artistic feel and impressive cinematography throughout. Mikey also holds his GoPro in his mouth to give viewers some tunnel vision as he scores some barrels in Baja Mexico. The video is a cool clip of varying shots and angles that’s easy on the eyes.
