UNF fell to Robert Morris at a close 81-77 in Dayton, Ohio in their play-in game on Wednesday night. Beau Beech had 28 points and was 6-10 from the three-point range.

This ends the most successful season in school history and marked their first NCAA Tournament appearance. It was a back-and-forth game that saw UNF fade down the stretch. The Ospreys led by 14 in the second half before a Robert Morris surge.

Beech’s hot shooting was one of the few things going for them, in a game they turned the ball over 19 times. He hit back-to-back threes to start the half and build the lead to 41-27. It seemed as though the Ospreys were inching closer to a W before Robert Morris stormed back. UNF did not make a field goal in the last 11:18. The team will now look on to next season, where Jalen Nesbit is the only starter leaving, and most key reserves returning as well.
