Summer doldrums have begun … We’ve had some ridable waves here and there, but it is that time of year. A good time to start thinking of a flat season getaway to Central America or Mexico because they have been pumping with swells from various systems. Speaking of the Tropics, the remnants of Blanca are sending lots of pockets of moisture all the way to the Gulf as we speak, and coupled with tons of moisture in the southern Caribbean, anything can happen in the Gulf at any time. For the rest of the week state-side we have a few systems way north of us that won’t be sending us any substantial surf the rest of the week. Yet, with the rest of this moon phase moving through, you may catch a few at the right tides on the small wave equipment if you need to get wet. Time to Summersize your quiver? A great time to get to your favorite local surf shop as new summer time shapes are coming in daily with killer retro fishes, SUPs and logs! Don’t see something that’s quite right for you? Order a custom shape from one of our great local shapers and have it ready just in time for that next trip, or the heart of Hurricane Season!
