Happy Holidays! The winter months are in full swing, and our winter surf pattern is already starting on a good holiday tune! Nor’easter last weekend, and another this weekend! If it’s going to be like this the rest of the season, we’ll take it — as long as it doesn’t get too cold. With the last mega arctic blast towing in the next jet stream has shifted to the middle of road now, and our friends to the north are going to experience temperature drops of 25 to 40 degrees.
Luckily for us, it’s not going to get too cold (thank god we live in Florida). For those of you heading out west to shred the slopes during the holidays, you should have some killer snow at least. Currently, we have full nor’east conditions with some gusty winds and waist-to-chest high surf! Conditions look to drop a little into Sunday, but the winds look to shape up a bit. Into next week, we will have a slight drop off but some warmer temps and a little suckup swell for a few days until a Big Nor’easter hits next Friday. Suit ’em up and get on it!
The Holiday shopping extravaganza has begun! If you haven’t gotten out to your local surf shops, retailers or restaurants to pick up that perfect gift or gift certificate, now is the time! How about a new winter shred sled for Dad, or maybe the perfect new wetsuit? Maybe you’re into spoiling yourself this holiday season via a night out with your sweetheart at one of our many awesome establishments? Support the local businesses that support you!
