It’s not over until it’s over and we’re officially past the due date of Hurricane Season and ticking off more letters on the alphabet! Normally this time of year our primary focus turns north as winter fronts approach bringing us chilly chunky and sometimes epic winter swell in the great green north of the First Coast, but we still have some warm waters out there in the oceans and Tropical Storm Rina is spinning way out there, not posing any threat to us but what it does is keeps the engine churning in the Atlantic as approaching front from the north pick up a cool head of steam! Welcome to the fall/winter season and we have a nice Nor’easter on tap building towards this weekend! A Huge high pressure system is dominating the central region of the country pushing a double barreled low off the eastern seaboard, and coupled in with activity from Rina, we’re set to get our first Main Event of the fall! Solid building nor’easter punch building Friday through Monday peaking Saturday in the overhead range, lucky for us, we have the setup to sustain it! Now is the time to rubber up if you haven’t gotten a jump on it because the surf shops will be selling out for the season! Water temps are dropping weekly, so get on it now before Santa’s little elves snatch it all up! Wax ’em up and get ready for the weekend!
