Jacksonville’s newest brewery and taproom has been in the works for over a year — and it’s opening today.
Introducing, Veterans United Craft Brewery. This distinctive new brewery is dedicated to expanding the definition of what beer can be. Through hard work, innovation, and fresh quality ingredients, this brewery knows how to create a plethora of flavor, while still reinforcing social and environmental responsibility to the local community.
Want to try their one-of-a-kind beer for yourself? You can! The taproom will be open 5 p.m. to 10p.m. tonight and from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. tomorrow. From that point on, regular hours will be 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. Wednesday to Friday and 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday. Raging Blonde Ale, HopBanshee IPA and Scout Dog 44 Amber Ale, along with two guest taps will be on tap this weekend. Not to mention, food trucks will be in the parking lot. Who doesn’t like food trucks?
The beers are planned to show up in cans this coming October. Until then, the beer will be distributed by Champion Brands with Raging Blonde and HopBanshee in bars and restaurants this weekend.
If you are interested in attending the opening, the brewery and taproom are at 8999 Western Way, at the end of a road of offices and warehouses off Baymeadows Road. Might as well stop in and try something new!
