As everyone (well not everyone) hops aboard the healthy train, McDonald’s is finally trying to adapt … and not just by making Snack Wraps. They are currently in the process of developing a $1 billion rebranding strategy. McDonald’s have built a type of cafe, dubbed, “The Corner,” which it has said to be a modern cafe, without any of your typical McDonald’s patented branding. The only usual sign is a “Mcafe” logo right below the restaurant’s sign.
While there is only one of these such restaurants right now, (in Sydney, Australia) McDonald’s is hoping for this to be a huge part in its rebranding. It’s offering food like poached pear, quinoa salad and filtered coffee. They hope “The Corner” will help steer the company in the right direction in their move to ultimately healthier foods.
