Minnesota-based singer and songwriter, Mason Jennings, will be returning to Jacksonville this weekend with a performance at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall on Sunday, March 15. Originally born in Honolulu, Hawaii, Jennings moved to Pittsburgh with his family at a young age, and picked up a guitar soon after. At the age of just 13, he began writing songs and would later drop out of school, move to Minneapolis and pursue his musical career. His first, self-titled album, was recorded on an analog four-track in the living room of his rented home and released in 1997. Since then, Jennings has been producing catchy, enthralling folk melodies and now has over 10 albums under his belt.
If you’re looking for a great folk show around town, this should be an excellent show. Doors open at 7 p.m. Tickets are about $35.
