This might be kind of premature considering that it’s still 90 degrees outside, but we can’t help getting excited for pumpkins, sweaters and autumn colors. Local eateries offer a huge amount of fall treats to get you in the spirit of fall. We’re mostly looking forward to the transition of cold-weather beers. Oktoberfest anyone?
Poe’s Pumpkin Beer
Poe’s Tavern in Atlantic Beach features Southern Tier Pumking with a graham cracker crust. Even if you’re not a huge beer fan, everyone can look forward to the return of this seasonal brew that is sweet and scrumptious. The pumpkin ale is a magical beer. You’ll be under its spell after the first sip.
Ovinte’s Pumpkin Ravioli
You may think there is a line with pumpkin use and that this crosses it, but don’t knock it till you try it. It is pumpkin filling with goat cheese and a brown butter cream sauce. If you are looking for sweet and savory, head to Ovinte at the Town Center to indulge.
Native Sun’s Pumpkin Whoopie Pies
These miniature, gluten-free pies with cream cheese frosting are the reason my pants don’t fit. You simply cannot stay away from these things. They are so small, you might be able to trick yourself into thinking you’re not eating a lot … but who doesn’t deserve a little cheat day ever now and then.
First Watch’s Pumpkin Pancakes
This is a sweet way to start your day. First Watch is known for their amazing breakfast, but these melt-in-your-mouth pancakes go great with a side of bacon, unlike anything else on their menu. They are so sweet you don’t even need the syrup, but it doesn’t hurt to add a little.
MShack’s Pecan Pie Milkshake
Milkshakes are hard to perfect, but this one tastes just like a liquid pecan pie. The best part is the end, as the bottom of the cup is lined with pie-crust and whole pecans that give it a nice crunch. This sweet treat is perfect for the Florida fall because let’s face it, we’re still hot here. MShack’s latest shake will cool you down, but also make you feel like you’re experiencing fall to its fullest!
