It’s time to update your Holiday playlist. “Baby it’s Cold Outside” is overplayed (and hasn’t aged well, it seems). Springsteen’s “Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town” is kind of fun, but nearly unlistenable after the novelty wears off (which was years ago). Run D.M.C.’s “Christmas in Hollis“? Well, OK. That one is just unimpeachably cool and should remain on your playlist for indefinitely.

But for those looking expand their Holiday listening experience, might we suggest this fun jangly little ditty from Asheville-by-way-of-Neptune-Beach’s Minorcan?

“It’s sweater weather. Summer’s over and it’s gonna start to get a little cold. Let’s get under the covers and watch it start to snow-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh,” Minorcan’s Ryan Anderson croons cheekily in the song’s opening verse. “Sweater weather” has all the trappings of a choice holiday tune–familiar chords, playful, earnest lyrics, and a sing-along-able refrain. So bundle up and give it a listen!
