During their annual “State of the Franchise” on January 29, Jaguars owner Shad Khan and President Mark Lamping released the latest details on planned renovations, improvements and additions to EverBank Field — and some of these are looking pretty damn sweet … even if you’re not an avid Jags fan.
Perhaps the biggest and coolest announcement is the new plans for the amphitheater (which will host a ton of cool entertainment in the years to come) and indoor practice facility, which will be located next to the stadium. There’s also an area being dubbed the “US Assure Club” that will feature special seating and additional viewing spots.
Of course, someone’s got to help pay for all these badass new upgrades, so fans attending games in the future could expect to see a price increase for certain areas or situations (though they’re still relatively low when compared to the NFL average), as you can see in the graph below. Jacksonville has also committed $45 million towards the cost, which totals around $90 million for all the renovations.
