Whisnant Surfboard’s NEW ” Bro Model” brings out the stoke and speed from the 70’s and adds in a little modern flair. You would ride this board 3-5 inches shorter than your shortboard, and it works best in knee high to overhead surf. My typical shortboard is 5’9 x 19 x 2 3/16. My Bro Model is 5’4 x 19 7/8 x 2 1/4. The thickness is carried throughout the board with the rails being the same as my shortboard rails. It has a wide point closer to the nose of the board, like a classic single fin. The tail is wider and thicker to help you carry speed through your turns on mushy waves. Because of the beefy tail, I ride pc7 FCS fins to help keep the board from sliding out.
