The Jacksonville Jaguars released cornerback Will Blackmon on Thursday, one of the fans’ favorite players on social media and one of the most active team members in the community.

The move was forced by the development of Aaron Colvin and Demetrius McCray, each recent draft picks. Blackmon made multiple appearances with Void, and was one of the best athletes to be around.

On the field, he made a huge impact in his first season and will be remembered for the strip-sack-touchdown of Titan’s quarterback, Ryan Fitzpatrick, which avoided the Jaguars starting 0-9 in 2013. That marked his best season in the NFL, with 40 tackles, one sack, two forced fumbles and one interception. Last season, he suffered a broken finger through eight games and was put on IR.

We will miss you Will Blackmon, but we thank you for your time as a Jaguar.
