On Saturday, April 15 at Nighthawks, DuvalHipHop.com is hosting its six-year anniversary bash, which will also feature The Duval Star Awards.

Twan Dickens, who records under the moniker T.W.A.N., said that the purpose of this fest is to highlight some of the hottest hip-hop artists in the city for the past year.

“What people can expect is an amazing lineup of some of the city’s elite emcees, as well as the presentation of the Duval Star Awards, which highlight ‘Artist Of The Year’ and ‘Video Of The Year,'” Twan said.

Twan also happens to be this year’s headliner, and he was nominated in both categories. But he isn’t the only local talent set to perform at the festival. Other great local artists included are Higher Learning, Clas$ick, Yalquetta, RNDM BIZ, B.O.A.T. SIMS, Q. Savage, Wes Pipes, Mr. Low, G Slim and more, with the event being hosted by Stinkarelli and DJ King Supreme working the music.

Doors open for the festival at 7 p.m., and advance tickets will only run you about $10, with day-of tickets jumping to just $15 at the door.
